Marshall Lochbaum Glitch with a side of sludge, and it seems to take place a bit closer to the center of the Milky Way than we earthlings are accustomed to. Favorite track: Interstellar.

“Orbital” is the first EP by stonefromthesky. Raw and completely DIY, it takes you on a journey inside your inner self. Aggressive roaring and heavy guitar fight with electronic noises, glitches and ambient textures to create an experience of full oblivion.

A couple of reviews:

“Zinchenko, who handles guitar, programming, and vocals himself, has quickly established a mastermind sensibility, and it seems coming into his first outing as Stonefromthesky that he knows exactly where he wants the band to go. All the better for a self-contained project like this, since if Orbital is anything to go by, he’s more than capable of acting as the driving force of his own exploration. Here’s one for the “heard it all” crowd to prove them wrong once again.”

The Obelisk - On the Radar: Stonefromthesky, Orbital EP

“Experiments in art often turn out to be performed just for the sake of doing them; they don’t really bring that much meaning with them except for an unusual outcome. Stonefromthesky is a different kind of experiment. Zinchenko’s music is art, it goes without saying—it is a great and accurate depiction of rage and hopelessness. Not only is “Orbital” an unleashing of emotions, it is also interesting musically. Crazy, incredibly timed drums are mixed with fierce guitars, distorted bass and dark synths. Zinchenko tops it all with his harsh screams and then sprinkles the whole thing with insane dubstep-like glitches. “Orbital” is a mad piece of music, full of fume-soiled intensity. As for a debut EP, I can only say that Stonefromthesky presents huge potential for his future releases. His genre juggling is something I have never heard before and definitely would love to hear more.”

Track Name: Interstellar
Lost in stellar radiance you cannot perceive
Frozen fingers keep you awake in this dazing solitude
You're searching for answers asking the wrong questions
Carrying a pointless dialogue with infinite silence

Lost in stellar radiance
You're lost in infinite silence
Track Name: Irreversible
Desperate signal is flooding your consciousness
Stone cold certainty of the worst corrupts your inner hope

What have you wasted your time on?
What have you sacrificed for getting this far?
Could you turn it all around?
In the end, no one really cares.

How does it feel to look right in the eyes of the inevitable?
Track Name: Altered
Mesmerized by glimmering starlight
Asphyxiating silently and
Floating and drowning, and drifting away
Senseless to time and space
The reality shift took place unconsciously
Now you're drifting away

Now you're drifting away
Deeper down and down, and down
Your truths collide, the impossible becomes the norm
In this new reality of your own

Convicted in this infinite loop
Your mind is foraging for a tiny fraction of common sense
To explain what happened and what happens next
Could this really be the end?
